Admissions and Payment
A foundational principle of Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare is to provide a value-based program by offering more sophisticated clinical programming, lower client-to-staff ratios, experienced and competent clinicians, superior customer experience, and an environment that is conducive to healing. Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare’s program is covered by most commercial health insurance plans. While PFBH is not a contracted as an in-network provider, we will work with all commercial policies by following the plan’s guidelines related to pre-certification, concurrent clinical reviews, and billing and coding to maximize the coverage of a treatment episode on behalf of the client and family and alleviate the financial cost of treatment.
Due to broad variation of insurance carriers and the policies they offer, we would strongly recommend that an insurance verification be completed by our experienced team so we can share with you how the program is covered based on your policy. There is no obligation when completing an insurance verification and this allows us to provide you the information necessary for you to make an informed decision based on your insurance benefits and associated costs – no two policies are the same. We do not work with Medicare or Medicaid.
It is the policy of Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare to provide an estimate of costs prior to enrolling in the program. We want to be honest and transparent to prevent creating any financial hardships for families. Families should understand that there can be some variables associated with estimating costs based on the accuracy of information provided to us at the time of the verification of benefits. As a safeguard, we do verify benefits twice to increase the accuracy rate of benefits information being quoted to us. Our verification process is very thorough and we know what questions to ask to help guide you in the decision-making process.
Costs will depend on the length of stay, which ranges from 6 – 12 weeks, depending on the individual and progress on the treatment plan. Most clients use some combination of private pay and insurance benefits to cover the costs of program fees and professional services.
In addition, the certification of treatment days by the carrier is based on their own criteria and not on that of Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare. There can be occasions when the carrier will no longer certify treatment days with little notice and the family will be informed immediately so they can decide how they want to proceed.
Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare does have self-pay options and our Admissions Team can help you explore different ways of paying for treatment that may not be covered by your policy.
