The Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare was founded on several guiding principles that shape the mission and vision of the program.

The Atlanta metropolitan area is home to almost million people and continues to grow. At the same time, however, there has been a long standing gap in treatment services for adolescents and adults suffering with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues requiring more than just a once per week therapy visit. Due to this need, the PFBH team crafted a vision for a progressive program that not only meets this need, but does so by exceeding all standards for excellence in quality clinical care.

This begins with our staff:

Executive Team

Tom Connell
Executive Director

Tom has over 30 years of experience working and leading in the behavioral health field. Prior to starting in his role with PFBH, his experience includes being the CEO for an adult addiction residential treatment center and for an acute care psychiatric hospital.

Tom has been recognized for his strong executive performance through budget management with increases in revenue and EBITDA, payor contracted rates and pay-for-performance negotiations, enhanced marketing and branding strategy, risk reduction, staff and physician recruitment, and organizational culture. He has served in clinical, administrative, business development, and executive capacities spanning from direct patient care and triage, to departmental and facility operations. In February, 2017, Tom envisioned a company that would fill gaps of unmet need in the Atlanta community and started to conceptualize the foundation of what today has emerged as PFBH.
