Pyramid Healthcare’s Altoona Outpatient treatment center is conveniently located for residents in Blair County and surrounding areas. We provide general adult and adolescent outpatient counseling, individual therapy as well as a professional outpatient group. Additionally, this location offers medication-assisted treatment, including Sublocade and MAT for pregnant women (Subutex).

Walk-in assessments and level of care assessments are available Monday through Friday – please call for more information. Our Altoona Outpatient facility is conveniently located near bus routes. Services are available by appointment during the day or evening.

We accept most private insurance plans, medical assistance and Medicaid, and partner with county funding authorities.

Outpatient Treatment

Our outpatient programs utilize an integrated treatment approach to conveniently and effectively care for adults and adolescents with a full continuum of substance use disorder programming at one convenient location.

Individualized treatment planning, evidence-based practices and collaboration with those involved in the client’s treatment process combine to remove potential barriers and promote access to treatment.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Individuals enrolled in our drug and alcohol treatment programs can receive medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with Methadone, Subutex®, Sublocade®, Suboxone® & Vivitrol® in conjunction with their treatment services in one convenient location. These services are appropriate for people who are addicted to alcohol, heroin or other opiates.

Clients interested in medication-assisted treatment receive an evaluation to identify the medication that best aligns with their recovery goals, needs and treatment plan. Individuals enrolled in this service also attend an MAT Maintenance group once per month.

Our clinic in Altoona is open from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dosing hours are 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays. We are closed on Sunday. For more information, contact this location at (814) 204-0059.

Tobacco Cessation Counseling

This service discusses tobacco use and the role it plays in daily routine. The individual and their counselor can address the social, financial and emotional issues
surrounding tobacco use, in addition to the health impacts associated with use. Counseling combined with tobacco cessation medication offers the best opportunity for a successful outcome.

Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS)

A Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) collaborates with an individual in early recovery to help remove barriers that often result in relapse.  A CRS will fill many roles including recovery coach, resource broker, confidant, advocate and role model.  CRS services help individuals develop a sense of independence while achieving recovery.

Center of Excellence

This office is also the location for Pyramid Healthcare’s Center of Excellence, as designated by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. Individuals are paired with a Certified Recovery Specialist who provides advocacy and support to help them successfully remain in treatment.
