Sexually Reactive Youth Program

Nearly all of the adolescents in the Sexually Reactive Youth Program at Skyline Lodge have been sexually abused themselves and are now perpetrators.

Our program is designed to meet the very specific treatment needs and behaviors of these adolescents and reintegrate the adolescent back into their home, school, and community utilizing the following Specialized Treatment Modalities:

  • A six-stage treatment model that emphasizes: accountability, offense cycle, victim empathy and relapse prevention
  • ABEL screening and polygraph to measure treatment progress
  • A level system that promotes community reintegration

Every effort is made to accept an adolescent in need of treatment but safety must be our primary concern. We assess the milieu when placement is being considered to determine if Skyline Lodge is in the best interest of the adolescent and the adolescents already in treatment.

When considering an adolescent for the program we look at where they are in the treatment process (just beginning treatment or stepping down from a higher level of care) and conduct a face to face interview that includes the completion of the Jesness Inventory.

The program is supervised by William Allenbaugh II, MA/CAC; a psychologist in Dubois with over twenty years experience working in the field of assessment and treatment of sexual abusers.

Among Bill's many achievements is the development of Project Point of Light, an outpatient sexual offenders program for adults and adolescents.
