Altoona Men's Halfway House -
Jennifer Wertz, Program Director

Program Description:

Our halfway house programs offer an environment that is based on continuing recovery from addiction.

This program is designed to meet the needs of men who have fulfilled the requirements of a residential program and need to continue recovery within a safe, sober and structured environment.

Clients participate in life skills, job training and readiness, daily community meetings, AA/NA meetings and regular drug and alcohol screenings to ensure program compliance. We offer a special focus on criminal justice clients.

Tradition House in Altoona, received a Co-Occuring Competent certificate which indicates that Tradition House meets the criteria established in the Commonwealth to serve individuals diagnosed with co-occuring psychiatric and substance use disorders.

Tradition House is among only four like facilities in the state to receive this designation.
